Scott Harshbarger was hired in the first quarter of 2007, bringing with him experience in mechanical engineering, machine design, automation, and robotics. He comes to Daedalus after working as an engineer both at Goodyear, where he developed a variety of equipment used in the fabrication and maintenance of tires, and at Sony, where he played an integral part in the development of large lcd projection televisions. He is confident that his knowledge of engineering products for mass production will be invaluable to the Daedalus team.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BS degree in mechanical engineering and of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BS degree in natural science and mathematics. He enjoys mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
