During the fall of 2014, Lead Industrial Designer Matthew Sass, taught Introduction to Digital Prototyping within the Design Department at CMU. This spring he will be teaching the follow-up course Advanced Digital Prototyping. Together these courses introduce the tools, principles, and process of digital design and prototyping to degree-track undergraduate industrial design students. Methods and processes of using CAD, visual thinking, and 3D printing to describe and communicate form are introduced and explored through a variety of exercises and assignments.
