Always adapting to changing technologies, mechanical engineering is a crucial component of the end-to-end product development cycle. As one of the original disciplines at Daedalus’ founding, mechanical engineering brings expertise in mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity to produce reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective products.
We use high- and low-fidelity prototypes to test function and manufacturability. We design and prototype in sheet metal, machined parts, weldments, enclosures, and integrated electromechanical systems. The ME team at Daedalus is comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds who take pride in every product they develop. Going beyond designing for functionality, Daedalus strives to create products that exceed the users’ basic requirements and become enjoyable as well. Our mechanical engineers have the experience to collaborate effectively with our other disciplines, including those in our clients’ teams.
