PET Scan Infusion System
The Intego system is a precise, flexible, safe and efficient way to administer radioactive infusions for medical imaging PET scans. The Intego system reduces overall radiation exposure by over 20%, simplifies operator interactions, automatically generates patient reports, and gives clinicians new flexibility to respond to patient schedule changes.

Daedalus led the project from early research phases through detailed industrial design. Extensive research with technicians and oncologists led to a rich understanding of users’ needs and detailed mapping of workflows and design opportunities. By effectively integrating the results of contextual observations and user interviews with full-scale mockups and detailed CAD, the development team was able to address the important needs of all stakeholders - optimizing safety, ease-of-use and efficiency.

Innovative features including real-time dose information, an on-board ionization chamber, automatic saline flush, and integrated tungsten and lead shielding provide safety, precision and confidence at every step – for both the operator and patient.
